Don’t let the cold Pennsylvania winter keep you from venturing outside your home!  The Lehigh Valley offers tons of fun activities and excursions during the winter months.  From skiing to water parks, there is something for everyone.  Bust out your calendar, find a good date, and explore all that the Valley has to offer!

Ski Resorts

Blue Mountain Resort, located in Palmerton, is home to Pennsylvania’s highest vertical and most varied terrain, as well as some of the longest runs PA has to offer!  With over 35 runs for skiers, snowboarders and snow tubers, the fun is sure to last from morning until night. Looking for something more relaxing and out of the cold?  Head to the Slopeside Pub and Grill for a meal or grab a cocktail from their extensive drink menu.

Bear Creek Mountain Resort is a one-stop shop when it comes to fun and relaxation.  With over 87 acres of slopes, terrain parks and lighted trails, not one ski or snowboard run will be the same.  If hanging by the fire is more your pace, grab a seat at one of the two, on-site restaurants. Don’t forget to book a spa service to get into total relaxation mode.

Camelback Resort is the #1 ski resort in PA and is packed to the brim with adventures, including skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. No matter what your experience level, you’re sure to find a run that suits you.  Camelback offers the most terrain for skiers and snowboarders in the Poconos and has 42 lightning fast lanes for snow tubing!  The resort is filled with indoor family adventures including a laser tag arena, rock climbing walls, an arcade, and of course a spa!

Indoor Water Parks

Speaking of Camelback Resort, did you know the resort is home to Aquatopia, a Poconos themed year-round waterpark?  Aquatopia is the east coast’s largest indoor water park and is the perfect winter getaway located right in our backyard.  Featuring 7 pools, a lazy river, 13 water slides, and an indoor surfing experience, Aquatopia is a water lovers’ paradise.

Great Wolf Lodge is located in Scotrun, PA and is packed with family-friendly fun.  Great Wolf’s water park features 13 water slides for all ages, 6 splash and play pools, as well as one gigantic tipping bucket.  In addition to the waterpark, Great Wolf offers character appearances, story time, dance parties, an arcade, and numerous interactive games.

Kalahari Resorts and Conventions takes you on an African journey in the heart of the Pocono Mountains. From young to old, there is something for everyone at America’s largest indoor waterpark!  With endless amounts of pools and slides, visitors can live in the fast lane or take it easy on the lazy river.  In addition to the waterpark, Kalahari offers escape rooms, arcades, and virtual reality experiences.

Festivals in the Valley

The Lehigh Valley Auto Show from March 21-24 will feature over 110,000 square feet of cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans from top automobile brands.  Attend the Preview Gala on March 20th  for a first look at what the 2019 Lehigh Valley Auto Show has to offer!
