Located 4 miles north of Bethlehem, the borough of Nazareth is a quiet and friendly community. The town, founded by Moravian settlers in 1740, is centered in Northampton County and is home to approximately 5,740 residents. Located about 1 hour from both Philadelphia and New York City, a commute or visit to either city is easily feasible. Newly built neighborhood homes mixed with a historic and busy downtown area makes Nazareth a desirable location to call home.

The Nazareth Area School District is comprised of three elementary schools, one intermediate school, one middle school, and one high school. The district’s vision is to inspire students to become innovative, collaborative, and constructive citizens who embrace diversity, value education and honesty, develop a strong work ethic, and a sense of responsibility that challenges them to be leaders in a global society.

Nazareth offers an array of outdoor fun. Numerous parks and playgrounds, state-of-the-art swimming pool, and several and walking paths, and even a dog park are located throughout the town. The Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center is over 1,000 acres of forests, fields, and creeks that offer individual and family fun with hiking, mountain bike riding, horse riding, picnicking, fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, wildlife watching, and educational programming.

Landmarks include the famous C.F. Martin & Co., known by musicians worldwide for creating fine guitars and strings. Take a tour through the factory, visit the museum, shop for a souvenir or maybe even a guitar. Another Nazareth staple is Potts’ Doggie Shop, an affordable family- owned hot stand whose famous chili dogs and other toppings are made to order.
